On this website you will see the word 'healing' mentioned many times and for different people, this term will mean different things. For example, some people will no doubt think of healing as being something which you receive in a healing session environment. In this way, you can be helped with many different kinds of physical, emotional or mental ailments.
For others, the term healing and meditation might be used interchangeably so for example, you are healing or purifying yourself by calling on a variety of divinely guided energies so that you can find balance, harmony and peace from within. And to take this one step further, there will be others who can understand that healing is something that can be done in a variety of circumstances. Take for example the idea that as we share things like love, kindness & generosity, we ourselves are also benefiting from this from an overall wellbeing perspective. Is this also not something which helps us to cultivate 'healing' from within?
There are many different types of healing and ways in which healing can take place. For example, just to listen to someone with empathy can be a very powerful healing tool in itself! And as we've just mentioned here, doing kind things for others with much love can also bring a wonderful amount of release to some of our darker emotional states. So again, this is a great form of healing.
In addition to these more general ways of healing and staying balanced, there are also many different physical aspects to our health and wellbeing that must be considered here. Almost all energy based practitioners will encourage other more physical aspects of health & wellbeing in the understanding that energy based work is always complementary and like all things in life, it is balance which is so important.
Things like regular exercise, healthy diet, nutritious and ethical eating, doing regular cleansing or perhaps seeking other alternative therapies like massage, acupuncture, cupping are all wonderful ways that we can hep improve our overall health and wellbeing.
