Welcome to Part A - Basic Meditation Practices

Welcome to your free video meditation course. This first section of the course introduces you to 6 basic meditation practices. You will notice that each of these 'lessons' are split into two parts (A & B). Part A will help to explain the practice to you and part B will then guide you through a short meditation practice so that you then 'feel' the meditative experience. The meditation practices in this first part of our meditation course are:

- Mindfulness Meditation (Lesson 3A & 3B)
- Loving Kindness Meditation (Lesson 4A & 4B)
 - Love Light Meditation (Lesson 5A & 5B)
- Guided Visualisation Meditation (Lesson 6A & 6B)
- Chakra Healing Meditation (Lesson 7A & 7B)
- Earth Healing Meditation (Lesson 8A & 8B)

Lesson 1 - Overview

If you haven't already watched this overview video, we encourage you to quickly have a look now as it will help you to get your bearings and orientation for this entire course. There are over 25 videos and 14 different types of meditation to choose from here so this short introductory video will help to guide you towards where you want to be.

 Lesson 2 - Preparing For Meditation

In this short video we discuss the very basics about how we can prepare ourselves for meditation; preparing our space and most importantly preparing ourselves for a nice, soothing and peaceful meditative experience. Please feel free to follow along with the breathing exercises here and if you wish to, you can also bring these practices into your daily life i.e. each night before you sleep.    

Lesson 3A - Mindfulness Meditation 
(Explanation) 

Let us introduce our first meditation technique - meditating with mindfulness. This is an age old style of meditation dating back to the teachings of Lord Buddha, over 2,500 years ago. It is a technique which is still today practiced by the monks in the Theravada Buddhist tradition and as taught by the Buddha, this mindfulness meditation technique can be a very useful tool to apply in meditation and indeed in our life! Here we explain a beginners mindfulness meditation practice with the guided meditation to follow in lesson 3B.

Lesson 3B - Mindfulness Meditation 
(Guided Meditation) 

Our first meditation practice - exciting! Lets now apply the things we have learnt and practice a mindfulness meditation practice for just under 20 minutes. Remember, at the beginning, it is often a series of short meditation sessions which are better for our mind as we develop the skill of concentration and stillness from within. Please enjoy this meditation with much love & light!

Lesson 4A - Loving Kindness Meditation 
(Explanation)

Let us learn about this wonderfully simple meditation technique which helps to bring much love and loving kindness into our life. In this short video, we share our loving kindness meditation technique with you so that you can use this in your own life - may this vibration of loving kindness radiate beautifully from your soul to all those around you! 

Lesson 4B - Loving Kindness Meditation 
(Guided Meditation)

Let us now practice this loving kindness meditation as we follow along with this very simple and easy 15 minute practice. You may experience some feelings or sensations throughout the meditation so please know that whatever is 'coming to the surface' for you here is always good. Let us work with mindfulness to feel our feelings, see our thoughts or to just sit in that quiet space of love.

Lesson 5A - Love Light Meditation 
(Explanation)

With our fifth lesson, we are extending on our previous meditation as we now work with these love energies in a deeper or perhaps more expansive way. This meditation is an absolutely fantastic practice to do regularly and will likely bring many, many healing issues to the surface over time. It is a great meditation for beginners and advanced practitioners alike and in this short video, we explain the basics of this 'love light' meditation technique.

Lesson 5B - Love Light Meditation 
(Guided Meditation)

As we mentioned in the last video, the love light meditation is great for opening up our heart chakra as we radiate out our love vibration from this sacred centre for the benefit of all beings. Because our intention is very pure i.e. to benefit all, there are many types of energies being received from above - again, a great meditation to practice on a regular basis and something which we hope will bring much love & light into your life and the lives of many other beings!

Lesson 6A - Guided Visualisation  
(Explanation)

In this lesson, we introduce a more hypnotic style of meditation whereby you are led through a guided visualisation which helps you to release and let go of any old or stagnant energies. 

Lesson 6B - Guided Visualisation  
(Guided Meditation)

This meditation practice is great for beginners and for those who suffer from a 'busy mind' as you are being asked to creatively visualise a number of pleasant and peaceful scenarios, thus helping to bring your mind closer to peace, happiness and stillness. In this meditation, we guide you to let go and release any old or unwanted energies from within. 

Lesson 7A - Chakra Healing Meditation  
(Explanation)

In this lesson, we introduce you to the idea of chakras and how we can meditate in order to help our energy centres function more effectively. Let us understand this most important concept of the chakra as we now go deeper into our meditation practice.

Lesson 7B - Chakra Healing Meditation  
(Guided Meditation)

Please enjoy this 30 minute guided chakra healing meditation. Helpful for those who want to meditate with the chakras but who feel they need a helping hand with their practice. This guided meditation will work with all of the 7 major chakras with a series of visualisations to help us connect with our energy centres.

Lesson 8A - Earth healing Meditation  
(Explanation)

Let us understand that we are all inter-connect and that when we send love & light to our earth, we also receive much love & light for ourselves. This meditation is a very benevolent practice and is ultimately very rewarding as we progress on our pathway. It is particularly good for those already working with energy based healing as this is a natural extension of these types of practices. 

Lesson 8B - Earth Healing Meditation  
(Guided Meditation)

This is a very short but wonderfully beneficial practice as it allows us to send much healing energy & love to our Earth. This kind of practice also brings us many positive healing results as we are learning how to cultivate which is referred to as the altruistic mindset i.e. a desire to help others. This type of altruistic thinking can then help to bring about much expansion and transformation from within.
