Promoting relaxation in your life doesn't have to cost you a penny. It can be as simple as doing the things you love, taking a walk in nature, doing some yoga, practising meditation, giving yourself Reiki, spending time with your children or any number of other things that help to promote a feeling of relaxation, peacefulness or calmness internally.
For many people, stress is driven by the external world however, it is also driven by our thoughts. It is for this reason why we lovingly suggest applying an 'internal based' relaxation approach where you spend a little time each day for things like meditation, deep breathing, energy based healing or yoga. In this way, you can become more aware of your inner world and your thoughts so that you can help to reduce any 'unnecessary' stress in your life. In addition to these internal based practices, we also suggest doing some 'external based' relaxation activities, as you wish. Things like exercise (i.e. walking, running or fitness based exercises), being creative (painting, playing music, dancing etc), spending time in nature or simply doing the things you love (whatever this might be). These are often wonderful starting points for anyone who wishes to release stress and to promote relaxation. Of course, we understand that it is difficult to find time for all of these activities and above all, we simply ask here that you find your own sense of balance in your life. |
There is a lot of research into the benefits of CES therapy, starting in the 1950's when Russian scientists were searching for a way to treat sleep disorders. Over time, CES Therapy was soon adopted by Psychotherapists who saw an application here for treating other psychological disorders like anxiety and depression and in today's world, many people are using CES Therapy as a wonderful relaxant and stress reducer.
The success of CES Therapy is fundamentally accredited to the idea that the electrical activity of the brain controls the neuro-chemicals which then help to regulate our moods, emotions and sleep patterns. By applying gentle micro-currents of electricity into our brain, it is therefore able to stimulate, balance and enhance the functioning of our brain so that we can benefit from these newly enhanced neuro-chemicals. There are now a number of CES Therapy devices available for home usage, as you can see from the examples here below: |

For us, PEMF Therapy is perhaps the most exciting health discovery of the 21st century and is now starting to be used to promote health, vitality and healing all over the world. The concept behind PEMF therapy is very simple - the PEMF machine helps to send a series of pulsed electro-magnetic fields into your body which then helps to boost the membrane potential of your cells so that you can function, heal, repair and operate in a more effective way.
Whilst receiving these pulsed electro-magnetic frequencies, it is also possible to receive a series of soft, gentle and peaceful frequencies and as such, this can often help the recipient to feel more relaxed, peaceful and calm during the session. In this way, PEMF Therapy may be used for those wishing to promote relaxation, inner peace and balance in addition to its other uses. |
To help explain how brainwave entrainment works, please consider two tuning forks. When you strike the first tuning fork, the second tuning fork will also start resonating at a similar frequency. In the same way, brainwave entrainment is a type of therapy which helps to stimulate our brainwaves through some form of 'external stimuli' (such as audio, visual or vibratory).
Most commonly, the external stimuli being applied is through an audio format. In this case, the recipient can simply lie back, close their eyes and listen to some peaceful music as they become more relaxed and as their brainwaves slowly start to resonate with the frequencies that are embedded into the music. Within the audio files, the brainwave entrainment engineer will embed a series of 'frequencies' which will help to guide you into more peaceful, soothing and healthy brainwaves. These audios will often include binaural beats, isochronic tones or solfeggio frequencies and all of these will be designed to help guide your brain into more relaxing, healthier and happier mental states. |
For those who enjoy receiving massages, you will already know that this is a truly wonderful way to release stress & tension from the body as you melt into a feeling of deep relaxation. For those of us living in the west though, whilst the benefits of massage are undisputed, it is true to say that getting a professional massage on a regular basis can also be quite expensive. Therefore, for those wish to relax through massage, it can often be worthwhile investing in some sort of home based massaging option.
For those wanting to explore the home based massage option, there are basically three types of options available to you. The first option is the DIY massage option where you use some sort of manual device (i.e. a massage roller, a massage ball or a massage stick) and massage away as you wish to. For those wishing to experience deep relaxation though, this is probably not the greatest option as it often involves posturing and positioning around a small roller to find the right spot. |
